Johnny Depp Is Not a Baritone

So why the hell was he cast as Sweeney Todd?

I just listened to a little clip of My Friends, and he sounds like a 15 year old. I like Johnny Depp; I love Tim Burton; and I ADORE Sweeney Todd, but I'm not so sure I'm going to like this interpretation.
